Bird Netting

Bird netting is a very effective form of bird deterrent for a variety of species including but not limited to pigeons and gulls, sparrows and starlings. It is a cost-effective and efficient way of protecting your site from the problems associated with bird droppings and health risks.

Nets can be installed on many properties including on warehouse roofs, multi-story car parks, some listed buildings, stadiums and hotels to name a few.

Some advantages of using nets are:

1. Protection of structures from any species of urban pest birds.
2. Virtually the only system that can be used with 100% confidence in places where birds are roosting at night or nesting.
3. Can be used to cover an entire roof or elevation of a large building, from the first floor upwards
4. When correctly installed, bird netting is virtually invisible, being extremely difficult to see from just a few metres away
5. Polyethylene knotted bird netting can withstand a wide range of environmental conditions.

The bird spiking systems offer a versatile bird control method designed to provide effective and humane control of problem urban birds. The upward pointing wires or ‘spikes’ act as a physical barrier to the birds without hurting them. The clever design means that just four types of bird spike provide the solution to virtually every situation where bird spikes are suitable.

Some of the advantages of using Bird Spikes are:

1. Available in different designs for different bird problems
2. Different heights of bird spiking providing optimum control of either pigeons or gulls
3. Strips can be fixed to almost any surface
4. Stainless steel wires and ultra violet stabilised plastic bases ensure bird spike durability.

Bird Wire

Bird wire offers a highly effective method of bird control, consisting of a system of steel springs and wires, fixed between pillars. It’s barely visible and can be fitted to most outside surfaces. It is cost effective, extremely versatile and a totally humane bird deterrent and often favoured by architects because of its discreet and low profile. It can also be used in conjunction with other bird proofing systems such as bird spiking.

Bird wire is most effective when used for:

1. Light pressure bird problems
2. New buildings where birds have not yet started to roost
3. Buildings where a discreet bird proofing method is required and
4. Glass fronted buildings.
